They are obviously saving the release for the period leading up to the IPO. The IPO is set to take place in late October or November. I suspect the model will be released one or two weeks beforehand to allow its significance to be factored into the valuation.

In short: Fable 5.5 should not be viewed *merely* as a leap in quality, but as the model that heralds the IPO. It will be *exceptionally good* because it bolsters Anthropic’s valuation. Consequently, we can likely expect a release of staggering magnitude.
