The most wholesome story of the day: Jensen Huang came to America at nine. Today, he received the National Medal of Science at the White House, with his parents there to witness it.

Earlier this year, he said: “My parents came here because they believed America could give their children a chance.”

Decades later, their son is being honored for helping turn graphics processors into tools that power scientific discovery.

He co-founded NVIDIA in 1993. The computing platform he helped build now gives researchers ways to tackle problems in medicine, physics and AI.

Thank you, @JensenHuang! Your work helped make modern AI possible and gave scientists powerful new tools for discovery.
