Cursor 推出 Projects 测试版,用协调智能体调度数千个编码智能体

ICYMI: Cursor announced Projects for agent coordination

Cursor is rolling out Projects, a beta system that coordinates long-running software work through thousands of delegated agents. Accessible from the left-hand navigation, it targets features spanning several PRs, broad migrations, full applications, and recurring maintenance that continues after a single chat ends.

Each Project is led through a coordinator agent. Developers chat with the coordinator, which plans and dispatches work to coding agents instead of writing code itself. Cursor says this setup keeps the coordinator responsive while other agents research, implement, and test in parallel.

Projects run on their own cloud computers, so work can continue after a laptop closes and more agents can run in parallel than on a local machine. When a task must be tested on a developer’s hardware, the coordinator can start a local agent. Shared files sync across the Project’s cloud and local machines, carrying research, artifacts, codebase knowledge, testing instructions, and developer preferences into future tasks.

Subscriptions turn Projects into persistent operators. A coordinator can watch Slack, run on a schedule, or follow pull requests, then fix CI or respond when PRs open or merge. Cursor says this supports three common patterns: feature development, incremental migrations, and “gardening” work such as code-quality upkeep and regression monitoring.

Cursor says it has used Projects internally for several months, including migrations covering hundreds of PRs, design-system maintenance, and development of Projects itself. According to the company, new Projects users merge 30% more PRs, while people who rely on Projects as their primary workflow merge six times as many. One internal design-system Project is expected to touch 20 to 100 PRs per day, scanning changes, extracting reusable components, and adding a lint rule when the same mistake appears twice.

Projects is rolling out to all Cursor users in beta, with the coordinator taking over after a user describes what to build.
